3M Health Information Systems and Alphabet’s Verily Life Sciences Division have partnered to create verily 3M. The creation of standard technology platform is expected to analyze population-level health data sets. The target victim or the primary goal is to help hospitals surface meaningful information. The information will in return be used to improve healthcare excellence and reduce costs.

The partnership will involve the combination of 3M’s health data coding and will also come in handy in the development of technology to support population health management. It will entail a massive emphasis on financial as well as clinical aspects of the field. The two companies have confirmed that classification and risk-stratification tools will be featured.
