iShares Lehman Intermediate Credit Bond Fund (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the United States investment-grade credit sector of the bond market as defined by the Lehman Brothers Intermediate U.S. Credit Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of investment-grade corporate debt and sovereign, supranational, local authority and non-United States agency bonds that are dollar-denominated, have a remaining maturity of greater than or equal to 1 year and less than 10 years, and have more than $250 million or more of outstanding face value. In addition, the securities must be fixed-rate and non-convertible securities. Excluded from the Index are structured notes with embedded swaps or other special features, private placements, floating-rate securities and Eurobonds. The Index is market capitalization weighted and the securities in the Index are updated on the last calendar day of each month.
