Nest cam and nest cam Outdoor are some of the nest devices that have received new features in the recent past. The Nest connected home hardware company will allow those using its app to view their feeds on the big screen so long as they are using Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google Android TV. That means they have the opportunity of creating or even editing video clips, which they wish to share out with others.
Sharing short clips and videos is one of the many standard practices in the current era. It has enabled the possibility of getting to see what is happening in or outside the house. The app is especially useful to parents who keep a tab on their children when far away.
The new app on Android TV will also allow full-screen viewing
The Android TV app does not only provide comfort in knowing what is happening in and out of the house but it could also be a plus for soccer lovers. Think about watching a football game on a full screen. Think about being able to view previously recorded video from the cam. However, Nest says that being able to share video clips from a Nest Cam requires Nest Aware subscription. Apparently, the full-screen viewing will not require phone rotation. All that should be done is tapping the down arrow icon below the camera window. The Home settings menu allows the editing of all device Notifications settings.
The creation of Instaclips: A future possibility
Who doesn’t love to watch a summary of whatever happening in the last 24 hours? This is only achieved through ‘instaclips,’ which are created from unique algorithms set within the app. The app figures out when to begin and end the clip, and there is also the possibility of picking up the clip from where it ends. All these updates are available on both Android and iOS version. However, the presence of Android TV is just the beginning of better and bigger things to come. Nest says that Apple TV will soon be hitting.
Alphabet closed Friday’s trading session at $ 775.97, declining $10.19 or 1.3%.
