Alex Malley, chief executive of CPA Australia, wrote to his members on Thursday to let them in on some exciting news. Supplied
Australia's most accomplished self-promoter, Alex Malley, has a blunt message for the Fresh Food People: "There are genuine accountability and governance questions to be asked and for Woolworths to answer," the boss of CPA Australia wrote in this newspaper's opinion pages on Tuesday.
"I've been a CEO working to a board of directors for long enough to understand accountability – both the principle and what it means in practice. A board's responsibility is, first and foremost, to the interests of shareholders. Woolworths' shareholders, all 460,000 of them, would seem to have been overlooked for some time."
Now I've been a business columnist for long enough to understand a modest outbreak of self-delusion.
So Woolworths's foray into hardware via Masters was a debacle? Geez, what a revelation. I wish I had a CPA accreditation so I could have figured that out.
How to Write Alliteration Poems
Simple words are great because they're easy to use; however, they can make your poem a tad too general and therefore tiresome. Look up synonyms of basic words to find more poetic words to use, but this all depends on who your audience is.
