There were rumors that we might be able to see a Ford Fusion ST version with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine this time.

If that actually happens, the Fusion ST may receive a drivetrain similar to that of the 2016 Focus RS, from horsepower and torque to the intelligent all-wheel-drive system.

Apparently, the camouflage-free sedan was caught somewhere in Dearborn, where it was trying to cross a public street to enter Ford's private test track, but a red traffic light held it enough for a photographer to snap a few pictures.

The grille - often criticized for a general resemblance to the iconic grille design of former subsidiary Aston Martin - has likewise been given a more angular and chrome-framed look for the new model year.

Of course the Detroit Auto Show is just around the corner, so what's there really to complain about.

An even more aggressive scalpel-like look has been given to the Mondeo's already angry headlights, with a new stepped look and top-mounted LED daytime lights standing out as the key changes. That said, it's the front end that welcomes the most design changes, with the interior expected to remain largely identical.
