Tributes continue to pour in across the world as music fans absorb the news that rock visionary David Bowie died Sunday after an eighteen-month fight with cancer.

Bowie released his final album, "Blackstar", on Friday, which was also his 69th birthday.

The Music of David Bowie will take place March 21.

He added: " He was an extraordinary man, full of love and life. "It was then that I knew that it may be the last time I would see him".

"I send my deepest sympathies to his family and will always remember the great laughs we had through the years".

Perhaps the most surprising thing is the inclusion of brand new tracks "Blackstar" and "Lazarus" in the overall Top Five tracks of Bowie streams.

"First, I think you've got to feel hot for each other and respect each other", Iman said when asked about the secret to her marriage. There are countless tales of people from the 80s - the Romantic era, guys wearing make-up and all that - they all say it wouldn't have been anything, it all came from David Bowie.

By now an influential symbol of artistic reinvention venturing into the theatre, film and fashion worlds, Bowie continued to innovate, helping produce Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side" and Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" album. Another picture regrammed by the model read, "Happy birthday to the man who fell to earth".

Tributes lie beneath a mural of British singer David Bowie by artist Jimmy C in Brixton, south London, Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016.

Festival founder Michael Eavis told the BBC: "He's one of the three greatest in the world, ever - Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and David Bowie".

He said that Bowie, who liked to use made-up names like Rhoda Borrocks when writing to his friends, last emailed him seven days ago.

Rock legend David Bowie suffered six heart attacks before his death, one of his biographers has claimed. He also sings about being in "danger" and his past "living like a king in NY".

"There are five more songs from these sessions that have yet to be released", wrote Sasha Frere-Jones for the LA Times, prior to Bowie's death. In fact, she even opened up about the Space Oddity singer's death for the CBB cameras.
