Guns n' Roses, LCD Soundsystem to reunite for Coachella

Well not only did the group release a surprise new single on Christmas Day, but word from Coachella is the popular group will be getting back together at this year's music festival, which also features a Guns N' Roses reunion.

James Murphy and his dance-rockin' LCD Soundsystem mates are said to be regrouping to perform at the 2016 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, which is pretty much the best news LCD fans have heard all year.

A spokesman for LCD Soundsystem declined to comment.

The New York Times has backed up the reports of GNR's appearance by citing "a person with direct knowledge of [Coachella's] plans, who was not authorized to discuss it publicly". Their last performance together was at Madison Square Garden for a farewell show that was recorded and turned into a documentary entitled "Shut Up and Play the Hits".

That's right - it's a great time to be alive if you're one of those weirdos who loves both LCD Soundsystem and the original lineup of Guns N' Roses.
